This year's Oscar nominations were very surprising, especially in the Best Director field. My predictions as to who would get nominated were pretty good, but there were a couple of nominations that I should have gone with my gut instead of what other people were saying (Jacki Weaver in Silver Linings Playbook, Argo for Best Score, etc.).
